Avaliação econômica do Programa Nacional do Álcool (PROÁLCOOL): uma análise de equilíbrio geral

Abstract

The objective of this paper is a quantitative evaluation of the economic effects of PROALCOOL using a general equilibrium model. The analysis suggests that this program is economically viable; but from the point of view of social welfare, its influence is negative, although such effects are much less important than those suggested by partial equilibrium studies.
