O custo dos recursos domésticos das exportações brasileiras em 1980
Abstract
The main purpose of this article is to investigate which, among the Brazilian exporting sectors, could be effectively considered feasable sources of foreign exchange. The domestic resource cost (DRC) is the approach adopted, based upon shadow, pricing criteria. hi comparison with previous similar studies, the following differences may be pointed out: the methodology adopted here presents several distinct aspects; the data base is for the first time updated applying 1980 values to the final version of the 1975 - IBGE Input-Output Matrix, the sectoral disaggregation used is brooder. It has been possible, through the comparison between sectoral DRC and the shadow exchange rate for 1980, to identity some sectors for which their social costs are worst equal to their foreign exchange gains. According to the results, the more effectively viable sources of foreign exchange are the following sectors: livestock and agriculture, non metallic minerals mining, food processing and, finnaly, textiles.Downloads
