Contratos de trabalho nas microempresas no Brasil

Abstract

This paper investigates matching and labor contracts in Brazilian microenterprises. We find a positive assortative matching between employers and workers with respect to gender, age and educational level. There is also evidence that this matching affects labor contracts: employers and employees with similar characteristics tend to have informal and pay-for-performance contracts with lower weekly hours.
