Estimation of annual input-output tables for Brazil in the Brazilian National Accounts System reference 2010

Abstract

This article estimates an annual series of Input-Product Tables (IOT) at current prices from 2000 to 2021 for the Brazilian economy in the System of National Accounts 2010. Therefore, the article proposes an update of the methodology proposed by Grijó and Bêrni (2006) for the estimation of the table of national and imported uses (both at basic prices), taxes net of subsidies, trade, and transport margins. We use for the estimation the structural information from the IOT and Supply and Use Tables published by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), with the assistance of the generalized RAS method.
