Abstract

The main objective of this study is to analyze the effect of education on the probability of black and white women working in the informal labor market through the estimation of a Logit Binomial model. To verify this relationship, data from the National Continuous Household Sample Survey (PNAD) for the year 2019 were used. The results revealed that education negatively impacts the probability of female employment in the informal labor market, and that, compared to white women, it presents substantially more expressive effects on black women.
