Indicadores de esforço tecnológico: comparações e implicações

Abstract

This paper presents some considerations on the possible causes for the reduced private investments in technology from Brazilian enterprises as compared with other enterprises from the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). These considerations are twofolded. The first one, at the macroeconomic level, refers to the performance of the national systems in technological innovations. The second one, at the microeconomic level, refers to the technological behavior of a specific group of enterprises.
