Uma avaliação das exportações intrafirma do Brasil: 1980 e 1990

Abstract

Some analysts of the recent performance of Brazilian exports tend to put emphasis in structural, non price factors that seem to have predominantly influenced export growth. It might be argued that among these factors one should include also some new features (intra-sectoral and infra-firm trade) that affect a trade bill predominantly composed of industrialized products. Infra-firm trade remains an unexplored subject in the literature about Brasilian trade. This article aims at contributing to that debate by presenting estimates of infra-firm exports in 1950 and 1990.
