Sensibilidade das medidas de desigualdade a transferências regressivas

Abstract

This paper compares the sensitivity of the main inequality measures to regressive transfers at different points of the income distribution. The comparison is made considering two possible relations between the incomes affected by the transfer: a given difference or a given ratio. A graph is presented showing the curves of relative transfer sensitivity of the main inequality measures for a lognormal distribution similar to the distribution of income in Brazil
