A opção não regional: o Brasil e os blocos econômicos
Abstract
Brazilian experience with export promotion is by and large a successful one, if considered from the viewpoint of export diversification_ A good part of that success is due, however, to the granting of privileges to the export sector, a recipe that can hardly be sustained. New productive processes and relations call for new patterns of participation in the international markets, often associated with the formation of integrated structures of production and stronger regional economic links. For a country like Brazil, it is not quite clear whether closer relations with the main economic blocks will affect the goals of more intense regional links. This article contributes to this debate, presenting in a systematic way some basic information about the recent evolution of commercial flows between Brazil and Latin America, as well as with other regions.Downloads
