A experiência argentina: alta inflação, hiperinflação e estabilização fracassada
Abstract
The paper analyzes the recent Argentine experience, including the two instances of hyperinflation of the years 1989190 and the failed attempt to stabilize the general price level It also studies the main features of the inflationary phenomena as well as the basic requirements to be met by a plan in order to be successful Finally, it reviews the process that ended in the first hyperinflation as well as the reason of the failure of the first attempt to stop the rocketing rate of increase of the price level and subsequent program that fortunately obtained a relative success. The last part lays down the main lessons to be learned from the Argentine experience.Downloads
