Implicações econômicas da integração do mercado interno da Comunidade Européia: uma revisão
Abstract
The purpose of the paper is to provide a concise, but by no means exhaustive overview of the post-Cecchini report literature on the economic implications of the European internal market. The Cecchini report was the first attempt at global quantification of the "Cost of Non-Europe", which in terms of integration theory, array be put equivalent to the gains front further integration. Two strand of research may be distinguished: a) the analysis and conclusions contained in the report; and b) identification of "white spots" on the report, subjects -which due to lack of information or resources were not extensively covered in the report. Here, five themes are covered. The first concerns the regional effects of the internal market within the Community. Secondly, there is the sectoral impact within the Community. Thirdly, there are the external implications of the internal market. Finally, there are the dynamics effects, while the concluding section regards the role of accompanying policies.Downloads
