Inércia e coordenação: pactos, congelamentos e seus problemas

Abstract

The paper attempts to offer a rationale for the mechanisms associated with inflationary inertia and also addresses the problems associated with the implementation of stabilization policies. Within the context of a simple model the inertia problem is connected with a well known problem of collective decision making: the free rider problem. The conditions and institutions that best favour wage price coordination mechanisms are than discussed.
